Executive Council Candidate - Valencia Scott

Valencia Scott relocated to Rowlett, Texas from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband, Anthony, in September 1995.  She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. 

Prior to moving to Texas, Valencia was a faithful member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie D. Wanzo, Sr.  During her time at Metropolitan, she served on the Young Adult Usher Board as both a leader and usher.  Valencia joined Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in December 1995 and has faithfully served in various ministries.

  • Adult Usher Ministry
  • Youth Usher Ministry, Director
  • Grief and Loss Ministry
  • HR Ministry
  • Care Group Administrator
  • Care Group Captain

Valencia has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Training and Development.  She currently works for a software company as a Learning Management Senior Specialist.  Also, within her organization, Valencia is a North America Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador, virtual facilitator for several soft skills courses, Business Women’s Network Core Team Member, and Brand Ambassador.    

Outside of her professional life, Valencia maintains her relationship with the Lord through her daily devotions and as a devoted member of the Bible Study Fellowship for the past six years.  She is also actively involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentor2.0 Program and served for four years on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Collin County Board.  In addition, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, traveling, volunteering at church, and planning events. 

Valencia is grateful and blessed to be nominated to the Executive Council and is truly dedicated to the future of Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church!
